Holly Willoughby has been flooded with messages of support as she acknowledged a 'special journey' at the same time as her former friend Phillip Schofield was accused of making a 'dig' at her during his TV return.

The scandal-hit former presenter is making his TV comeback on the brand-new three-part Channel 5 series Cast Away next week.

The programme will see him marooned on a tropical island off the coast of Madagascar with a handful of cameras for 10 days. It will make his first appearance on a TV series since he left ITV in May 2023 after he admitted to an "unwise but not illegal" affair with a younger male colleague.

In a teaser for the first episode, which airs on Monday (September 30), Phillip says he believes he was unfairly treated by certain people amid his departure from ITV last year.
