Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has been told he lacks the ruthlessness needed to force a transfer to Manchester United in the summer.

MEN Sport understands that Kane is United's top target this summer as they bid to replace Cristiano Ronaldo. Wout Weghorst was signed on loan from Burnley in January but it is widely believed that he is merely filling a gap until the summer.

Currently, there are concerns surrounding whether the Reds will be able to sign Kane at the end of the season. Sources at United state that they are wary of Spurs chairman Daniel Levy's historic stubbornness to allow his captain to leave north London. According to former England and West Ham United manager Sam Allardyce, United face a stumbling block to signing Kane because he lacks the anger to force the move away.
