Greater Manchester has been battered by wind and rain today – with Stockport even seeing hailstorms this afternoon. And it’s looking like more grim weather is on its way this evening as forecasters predict scattered showers across the region.

Tonight we can expect to see a mix of clear spells, clouds, wind and rain, with downpours predicted at around 10pm. Overnight, temperatures will drop to 9C.

Tomorrow, more winds are expected and showers are possible in the morning. There will be sunnier periods in between the rain but the temperature will still feel on the cool side, reaching a maximum of 14C.

Heavy rain will arrive overnight before easing into Monday morning (October 17). READ MORE: 'People think it's weird - but our arrangement got me on the property ladder' Looking to Tuesday and Wednesday, we can expect sunny and dry weather across the region with possible frost and fog overnight.
