Goncalo Borges sees Rangers transfer bid 'rejected' as Porto deny double offer

dailyrecord.co.uk

It seems Rangers' hunt for right wingers isn't over as a reported bid for Goncalo Borges was "rejected" by FC Porto. Philippe Clement landed Czech international Vaclav Cerny on loan from Wolfsburg earlier this week.

But Portuguese outlet Record claim that the Ibrox club have also tried to sign their right winger Borges, but it has been claimed that Porto have sent them packing along with Ligue 1 outfit Strasbourg.

Negotiations are expected to continue however, with the door not completely shut on a move to Glasgow. More clubs are understood to be interested in Borges, but as yet Gers and their French transfer rivals are the only ones to have made concrete offers.

With heavy interest in first choice wide man Fabio Conceicao, Borges fancies his chances of playing this term and Porto have been happy with his displays in pre-season.
