An injury to striker Scott Kashket makes a potential move out of Gillingham a little trickier. Manager Neil Harris says he’s open to discuss opportunities with Gillingham’s fringe players - including Kashket - who may want to seek a move into non-league this week.
The National League transfer window closes on Thursday, March 23, and up until that point the Gills can offload players if they feel it’s the right thing to do.
Kashket was back training and available for selection last weekend but has had a set-back with his groin, which could keep him out for another week.
He hasn’t played a competitive game since January 28. Harris, speaking before the weekend, said: “I don’t know if that means a loan move to the National League for him is still going to be feasible at this stage. “If he is here, he is available for selection when fit.
