Antonio Felix da Costa compared the New York E-Prix to Monaco after taking victory in race two of the weekend in the Big Apple.
The Formula E season now has just two rounds left with races to be held in London and Korea, with New York providing the latest backdrop for the championship.
Race one was dramatic, of course, with a heavy burst of rain curtailing the E-Prix whilst race two ran at full length, and it was Da Costa who didn’t look back as he took victory.
Speaking after the race, he compared New York to Monaco in terms of how significant the race is to FE, and was clearly delighted with his win: “I love it – this is a little bit like our Monaco, it is such an incredible city,” he said. “I finished 2nd and3rd here in the past – but to win this one today is amazing, especially given where we were comingfrom after such a tough start to the season.
