Isthmian Premier Folkestone thumped Isthmian South Central side Ascot United in the FA Trophy third qualifying round on Saturday.

Winger Khale Da Costa got the scoring started at Cheriton Road in the 18th minute, with away defender Joe Gater putting through his own net shortly before the half-hour mark.

Midfielder Amadou Kassarate made it 3-0 and striker Dan Smith claimed his first two goals in first-half stoppage time - the second of which was a penalty that had been won by Da Costa.

Smith completed his hat-trick in the 52nd minute and, although Ascot midfielder Sean McCormack scored on the hour to deny Invicta a clean sheet, substitute Evans Kouassi bagged a late brace to seal Folkestone’s 8-1 victory.
