Flames sign D Stone to two-way deal

The Calgary Flames signed Michael Stone to a one-year, two-way deal worth $750,000 at the NHL level on Tuesday. The deal comes after Stone returned to the Flames for training camp on a PTO.

He appeared in 11 games for the team last season, notching two goals and four assists and averaging 17:27 of ice-time a night.

Stone also appeared in nine playoff contests, chipping in two goals and three assists. Stone played on a one-year, $750,000 deal last season.
