Deal Town were emphatic winners on Saturday in the First Round of the FA Vase. Steve King’s Southern Counties East Premier Division high-fliers claimed a 7-0 win over Division 1 Tooting Bec in front of a crowd of 466 at the Charles Sports Ground.
Tom Chapman bagged a hat-trick, brother Ben Chapman netting another two, while strikers Aaron Millbank and Connor Coyne struck for the hosts too.
To compound their misery, Tooting Bec had a player sent off Francis Babalola’s double guided Phoenix Sports to a 3-2 success at AFC Portchester.
Tashi-Jay Kwayie was also on the scoresheet for Steve O'Boyle’s men who progressed despite home captain Brett Pitman, formerly of Bournemouth, Bristol City, Bristol Rovers, Ipswich and Portsmouth, netting twice for them.
