Alex Branson-Cole is set to be fighting at York Hall this Saturday - but insists he won’t be overawed by the occasion. Branson-Cole will feature in his third professional bout in Bethnal Green, London, looking to make it three wins from three against Jordan Graham.
The roofer, the first professional fighter to come out of Faversham since Tiggy Burney in 1959, has taken the bout on short notice but says he will be up for the fight.
He said: “I have been working hard. I’m always in the gym, working, just in case anything does come up. “I want to stay busy so it’s ideal for me to stay in the gym, really. “This fight has come up so I have taken it - I’m just trying to juggle my work and my boxing at the moment. “It’s at York Hall.
It’s a great venue but, to me, it’s just another venue. “I will just celebrate there and take it all in after I win!” The fight had been due to take place last weekend - which would have clashed with The Hop Festival in Faversham - and Branson-Cole concedes it’s not been quite as easy to sell tickets this time.
