Emirates has issued a new warning to travellers over banned items on flights to and from Dubai. The airline has made the new announcement just a day after it was revealed that certain routes in the Middle East had been cancelled.
The airline has announced that it would be cancelling all regular flights to and from Iraq, Iran, Lebanon and Jordan. Any passengers who are travelling to these destinations via Dubai were told they 'will not be accepted for travel at their point of origin until further notice.' The update comes after an escalation in conflict in the Middle East as Israel intensified air strikes on Lebanon following an earlier attack by Iran on Israel earlier this week. Such items found in passengers' hand luggage or checked baggage will be confiscated by Dubai Police." On Tuesday, Iran launched a missile attack on Israel, with Israel responding by intensifying airstrikes on Thursday night.
