Aberdeen chairman Dave Cormack has helped a supporters group smash their fundraising target ahead of the club's much-anticipated 40th anniversary of their Gothenburg glory.
And the USA-based businessman confirmed he's upping his recovery following his open heart surgery. Cormack recently appointed former Motherwell supreme Alan Burrows as chief executive to oversee the day to day operations at Pittodrie, with finding a successor for axed boss Jim Goodwin high on his agenda.
But it appears Cormack will be making a return to the UK for the May 11 festivities which include a special gala dinner, a council presentation, and a homecoming fixture for the team, which will fall after the Scottish Premiership split.
Alongside a link for the Go Fund Me page set up by the fan group "Ultras Aberdeen", Cormack tweeted: "Planning to make it home after recovery to take in the long weekend of Gothenburg 40th Anniversary celebrations.
