Christian Ramirez has opened up on his final months as an Aberdeen player as he marked his debut in MLS with a double in a 6-1 win.

The American striker moved back stateside in the January transfer window after falling out of favour with now departed manager Jim Goodwin.

Ramirez, who joined the Dons from Houston Dynamo in the summer of 2021, bagged a double on his first appearance for Columbus Crew in the win over Atlanta United.

Since signing for the MLS outfit he has been on the treatment and was only able to make his debut until Saturday evening. Ramirez, who was a firm favourite among the Red Army, revealed his frustration at his last couple of months in the Granite City saying he "continued to have belief" and worked hard.
