Crystal Palace target Ismailia Sarr is now expected to stay at Watford, according to The Sun journalist Tom Barclay. Sarr’s future has been in considerable doubt throughout the summer, but Barclay reckons there’s a “strong possibility” the winger will stay with the Championship club.
It’s been a topsy-turvy week for the Senegal international, who was on the verge of securing a move back to the Premier League after Aston Villa agreed a £25m fee for his services, only for the deal to collapse due to some finer details, with Midlands outfit withdrawing their interest.
But with Sarr desperate to be playing in the top-flight once again, Crystal Palace are interested in bringing the speedster to Selhurst Park.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Patrick Vieira’s side have a window of opportunity to sign Sarr, with the situation now ‘open’.
