Rangers defender Connor Goldson is set to be out for MONTHS after picking up a horror injury during the Champions League defeat to Liverpool.
Goldson took the ball off of Reds attacker Darwin Nunez in the first half of the European showdown at Ibrox, before going down clutching left thigh.
He received medical treatment on the pitch before hobbling off moments before the half-time whistle to be replaced by youngster Leon King with the score locked at 1-1, however following the full-time whistle in the 7-1 rout the Englishman was spotted in crutches. Record Sport understands that ever-present Ibrox star has suffered a suspected severe thigh muscle tear following the challenge, with the full timeline of a return to be laid bare following scans behind the scenes.
However, the initial hope that Goldson would return to action before the World Cup appear to be unfounded with a lengthy spell on the sidelines facing the Ibrox vice-captain.
