Clyde 2 Jeanfield Swifts 0: Perth side's Scottish Cup journey ended at third round stage

dailyrecord.co.uk

Jeanfield Swifts’ special Scottish Cup journey was brought to an end on Friday evening - but the Perth club could and should be proud of their efforts.

Robbie Holden’s men, backed by a wonderful visiting support, were edged out 2-0 by Clyde in the third round of the competition.

Both goals arrived in the second half and both were headers, the first from Liam Scullion before Logan Dunachie wrapped up the win.

Swifts were daring to dream all over again and Chris McLeish fancied his chances early doors. His volley on the swivel, however, was always going to be safely gathered by goalkeeper Jack Leighfield.
