Five different scorers helped Jeanfield Swifts continue their drive towards the top of the East of Scotland League Premier Division on Saturday.
Dayle Robertson’s penalty and a Fraser Smith strike had the Perth men two to the good at the break at home to Crossgates. Then second half finishes from Olly Hamilton, Jordan Northcott and Pat Brown ensured it was a comfortable 5-0 victory come full-time.
Manager Robbie Holden was pleased that his team again proved they can spread the goals. “We took a bit of time to get going and the game was reasonably even until we got the goal,” he explained to the PA. “We followed it with a second quite quickly and the second half was a marked improvement in quality.
It was comfortable in the end. “We created much more and scored another three good goals. It’s great getting goals from all over the park. “We know players can have dips so to see different players contributing is great.
