There is a belief that Chelsea will sign Leicester City defender Wesley Fofana this summer, says journalist Simon Phillips. Reports suggest that the 21-year-old is keen on a move to Stamford Bridge, while Phillips says he has been told that a deal will be done.
According to The Guardian and other outlets, Fofana has told Leicester that he wants to join Chelsea before the transfer window closes.
This comes after the Foxes rejected two bids from their Premier League rivals for the French centre-half, something manager Brendan Rodgers recently confirmed.
It is believed that Leicester are holding out for more than £80m for Fofana, a fee that would make him the most expensive defender in football history.
