Celtic told what Champions League 'failure' looks like by Treble winning hero as Brendan Rodgers set non negotiable

Brendan Rodgers has been told he WILL have to change Celtic's approach away from home in the Champions League - and that anything less than qualifying for the knockout stage would be a failure.

The Hoops kicked off their bid at Europe's top table with a five-star show at home to Slovan Bratislava but it was a night to forget on matchday two in Germany as the Scottish champions lost out 7-1 to Borussia Dortmund.

The German giants showed a ruthless streak in their own backyard as they sent the Parkhead side home with real lessons to be learned.

Alan Stubbs reckons one of the key things to come out of the heavy defeat will be the tactical side of the game. He believes Rodgers will have to change how he takes on opponents at the top level, particularly on the road with Atalanta up next following the international break.
