Shock jock Jason Cundy admitted he was gutted that he couldn’t put the boot into Celtic after their Champions League heroics against Europa League champions Atalanta.

Brendan Rodgers’ side battled to a brilliant Bergamo draw to put them in with a great chance of progressing in Uefa’s premier competition.

Earlier this month, radio loudmouth Cundy and sidekick Jamie O’Hara filleted the Hoops for their 7-1 thrashing at the hands of Borussia Dortmund and claimed they were “embarrassing Scottish and British football”.

The Englishman is renowned for aiming digs at Scottish football, including the national team during Euro 2024, but Celtic have been a regular target and Cundy said he was becoming bored with the annual dissection of their poor displays in Europe.
