Brendan Rodgers could be set to lose his trusted right-hand man Chris Davies – with Ange Postecoglou reportedly willing to bring him to Tottenham amid Swansea's interest in offering him their soon-to-be-vacant manager role.

Davies has followed Rodgers as his trusted lieutenant throughout his career, starting off as youth team captain at Reading under the Irishman's guidance.

His playing career never took off due to injuries, and after various youth roles, he rejoined then-Swansea boss Rodgers in 2010, with his first season resulting in promotion to the Premier League.

The duo have been inseparable ever since, moving from Liverpool, then to Celtic under Rodgers after a brief sabbatical. Assisting in the record 'Invincibles' season amongst a trophy-laden spell, Rodgers and Davies brought about a new level of flair and excitement in Glasgow’s East End, before a move to Leicester disrupted the Hoops flow.
