Brendan Rodgers is set to make the most of Celtic’s foothold in the Far East as the new Hoops boss prepares to bring his own style to Parkhead.

Incoming gaffer Rodgers is preparing for his big unveiling in Glasgow on Friday. And the ball is already rolling in the search for new talent – with the Asian market exploited under former manager Ange Postecoglou remaining an area Celts are targeting.

It is understood Hoops chiefs have already made initial contact with South Korean side Gangwon regarding winger Yang Hyun-jun.

And Record Sport believes Celtic are also scouting Gwangju pair Eom Ji-sung and Jeong Ho-yeon in the K-League. Gangwon are determined to keep hold of Yang for their bid to beat the drop in the remaining half of the league campaign.
