Dr Punam Krishan has revealed she forced Gorka Marquez to suffer a bit of a blunder following their first-ever live routine on Strictly Come Dancing - but viewers may have missed it.
The practicing GP and the Spanish dancer are among the 15 couples taking part in the BBC One dance contest this year. After their pairing was discovered during the launch show earlier this month, Dr Punam and Gorka were seen performing together for the first time.
The competition really got underway on Saturday night (September 21) as all of the new Strictly couples performed together for the first time followed by the judges' comments and scores. Following their first performance, Gorka has already been quick to praise his new dance partner. Alongside a picture of them both in action in the ballroom, the 34-year-old wrote on his Instagram Story: "Our first dance on the @bbcstrictly floor and I couldn't be more proud of @drpunamkrishan. "Totally out of her comfort zone doing something that is miles away [from] what her job is and went out and smashed it." He added: "Can't wait to get started with our second dance." Now, Dr Punam has returned to Morning Live where she reflected on her performance.
