Ange Postecoglou to Chelsea pitched as Celtic boss named wildcard next boss contender by Danny Murphy

Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou has been touted as a potential next Chelsea boss by pundit Danny Murphy following the departure of Thomas Tuchel.

Postecoglou arrived at Celtic Park as a virtual unknown in British football last summer despite leading Australia to the World Cup and enjoying success in the A-League and J-League.

However, he has enjoyed a rapid rise to the top of the Scottish Premiership. The Australian lifted the league title as well as the Premier Sports Cup in his debut campaign, and led Celtic back to the Champions League group stage with his attacking style of play implemented against Real Madrid earning plaudits.

That has led to former Tottenham and Liverpool midfielder Murphy naming the Australian as a surprise candidate to become the next manager at Stamford Bridge.
