Celtic striker Daizen Maeda is an injury doubt for Japan's clash with Ecuador after picking up a knock in the win over the United States.
The Samurai Blue are preparing for their final World Cup warm-up fixture on Tuesday against the South American side, and Maeda would have been expected to start having been given the nod by boss Hajime Moriyasu ahead of Parkhead teammate Kyogo Furuhashi in the 2-0 win over America in Dussedorf.
However, he was replaced at half time during the clash with Moriyasu stating the Celtic star had felt a pain in his right leg.
The 24-year-old has missed the final training session ahead of facing Ecuador, with the Japan Football Association stating Maeda remained at the team hotel with a thigh injury.
