Three years on from its debut, Squid Game and its blend of high-concept violence and horror is still living long in the memory.

With a second season on the way, due to launch on Boxing Day, legendary whisky Johnnie Walker has teamed up with Squid Game for a special edition of its Black Label.

Right now you can pick up a 70cl bottle of Johnnie Walker’s Black Label for just £23 at Amazon, down from £34. These limited edition bottles are numbered 001 to 456 in honour of Squid Game’s contestants, and the famous Striding Man is kitted out in one of the show’s iconic green tracksuits.

This smooth whisky, aged for 12 years, promises layers of spice, vanilla and sweet fruit swaddled in a smoky overtone. While Johnnie Walker recommends serving its Black Label neat, it pairs well with plenty of mixers and makes a fine addition to cocktails such as an Old Fashioned, a John Collins or an Irish coffee.
