Xabi Alonso has told Manchester United why they must complete £53m transfer

Real Sociedad star Martin Zubimendi has emerged as one of the latest targets for Manchester United.

United do have an interest in Zubimendi as the club continue to assess potential midfield targets, with the 25-year-old reported to have a £53million release clause in his contract. The Reds have already been told by Xabi Alonso why they would be wise to sign the Spain international.
