WWE WrestleMania: Match that 'may surprise people' to be added to huge show

A match that “may surprise some people” is set to be added to the card for WWE WrestleMania 38.

One of the people that WWE has been building up over the year or so on Monday Night Raw has been Omos.

As of right now, Omos doesn’t have a match scheduled for WrestleMania 38, but that is about to change.

WrestleVotes, a reliable Twitter source, is reporting that Omos is going to have a match at WrestleMania as part of his “singles push”.

The initial report didn’t reveal who Omos’ opponent will be, but did not that it won’t be Cody Rhodes or Veer.

However, as can be seen below, WrestleVotes does note that the person WWE is planning on having face Omos at ‘Mania “may surprise some people”.

Source states, as of now, Omos is indeed getting a singles WrestleMania match. And his opponent may surprise some people… It’s not Veer. Or Cody for that matter.

And now, a new report from Fightful Select has revealed who the opponent is, and why there is some it may come as a “surprise”.

The report notes that, as of this weekend, WWE was planning on having Bobby Lashley face Omos at WrestleMania 38.

The news could come as a surprise to fans considering it was reported just over a month ago that Lashley required should surgery and would be out of action for four months.

Fightful learned that as of this weekend, the planned opponent was former WWE Champion Bobby Lashley.

With WrestleMania next weekend, and just two episodes of WWE Raw between now and the big show, it’s possible that Lashley returns tonight to set up the match with Omos.

As of right now, it seems almost definite that Lashley was able to recover from his injury without the need for surgery, which is certainly excellent news.
