WrestleMania 38: Every match ranked from worst to best

WrestleMania is unquestionably the biggest event in sports entertainment.

A truly momentous occasion that only comes around once a year, ‘Mania always provides viewers with action ranging from the spectacular to the ridiculous.

This year’s showcase proved to be no exception.

Night one was filled with genuinely great technical wrestling, whereas night two was a lot more unorthodox. The unpredictability of both nights kept fans on the edge of their seats, wondering what could possibly be next.

A total of 16 matches were on display, some better than others, but only one could be considered a total flop, which is pretty good going from the WWE.

The guys over at WhatCulture have ranked each matchup from worst to best, and here are the results!

16. The New Day vs Sheamus & Ridge Holland

Winner(s): Sheamus & Ridge Holland

A devastating Brogue Kick from Sheamus on Kofi saw his team seal the win. A forgettable matchup which wouldn’t have looked out of place on a house show.

15. Pat McAfee vs Mr. McMahon

Winner: Mr. McMahon

For a 76-year-old man, Vince McMahon put on a decent match. He used Austin Theory mainly to do the bulk of the work, understandably. The match was only a couple of minutes long but provided a lot of excitement – particularly after Stone Cold Steve Austin Stunnered all who came before him.

14. Omos vs Bobby Lashley

Winner: Bobby Lashley

The classic battle of the big men. Omos, who hadn’t been knocked down in a WWE ring until the Raw before WrestleMania, found former WWE Champion Bobby Lashley too steep a mountain to climb.
