Bron Breakker, Gunther and the NXT stars ready for Raw and SmackDown

This past week’s Raw after WrestleMania didn’t get the annual call-ups from NXT we’ve come to expect from the raucous episode. 

Reports have emerged though that WWE are set to move some new names from NXT 2.0 onto Raw and SmackDown over the next few weeks. GiveMeSport looks at the names most likely to make the jump to the main roster. 

Raquel Gonzalez 

The women’s divisions across both brands could do with an injection of new blood and there’s no doubting Gonzalez is ready and offers something different to what’s currently already on the rosters. Big Mami Cool’s power and statue would be a intimidating presence on either show and since giving her more character as a babyface – motorbike entrance and all – Gonzalez has really become an WWE all-rounder, with that cool factor that’s pretty hard to teach. Seeing her go toe-to-toe with big hitters like Bianca Belair and Charlotte Flair would be something new and exciting in an area where WWE are light on believable challengers. 

Gunther and Imperium 

Gunther’s unexpected title loss to Bron Breakker on Tuesday, has reports stating that it was the Austrian’s farewell to NXT, and he could be main roster bound, along with his Imperium pal Marcel Barthel. However, it doesn’t look like Fabian Aichner will be part of the package, having walked out on his tag team partner during their tag team match with The Creed Brothers. Gunther will be the headline act and bringing him to the main roster opens the door for some mouth-watering match-ups for the longest reigning NXT UK Champion in history. Imagine Gunther’s hard-hitting style against the likes of Bobby Lashley, Roman Reigns and yes, Brock Lesnar. We’d be all in for that meat feast.
