Aaron Rodgers: QB and Green Bay Packers offense slammed by ESPN analyst

Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers are going to struggle to turn things around on offense, according to ESPN analyst Bart Scott.

The Green Bay Packers have had something of a rocky start to the 2022 NFL season, despite the fact that they are 3-2 there are certainly a lot of things that they could be doing better that might have gotten them in a better position in the NFC North and give them a more promising future. 

The Packers as a whole haven’t been too bad when it comes to moving the ball down the field, as they ranked 9th in the NFL after Week 5 in terms of yards, but when it comes to points scored they drop all the way down to 22nd in the league.

Which when you consider the players that they have on offense, most importantly back-to-back reigning MVP Aaron Rodgers, it is rather surprising to see them unable to convert their chances when they get into opposition territory, although it’s a struggle that perhaps we should have seen coming. 

Speaking during the preseason (via ESPN), Rodgers made it very clear that he wasn’t too happy with how the receivers were doing, stating "the young guys, especially young receivers, we've got to be way more consistent. A lot of drops, a lot of bad route decisions, running the wrong route. We've got to get better in that area."

And those problems were present during Week 1 against the Minnesota Vikings when rookie wide receiver Christian Watson dropped what should have been an easy touchdown early in the game.
