Wolves transfer news: Lage now 'very interested' in signing 'complete' 6 ft 2 beast
Wolverhampton Wanderers target Dael Fry ‘will be available’ in the summer transfer window if Middlesbrough don’t win promotion, according to journalist Dean Jones.
Fry has excelled for his boyhood club this season, attracting the attention of several Premier League clubs following a string of impressive displays.
According to Football League World, Leeds United, Burnley, Brighton, Southampton, West Ham United and Brentford are also eager to snap up the highly-rated 24-year-old.
The report claims that Boro are set to demand around £20 million for their prized asset, who has just 18 months remaining on his current contract.
However, Fry – who was labelled ‘complete’ by ex-boss Neil Warnock – may end up staying put and committing his future to the North West outfit if they manage to end their five-year exile from the top-flight.
Boro have made significant progress since the arrival of new manager Chris Wilder, propelling themselves to within goal difference of the play-off positions in the Championship table.
Their magnificent penalty shoot-out victory over Manchester United last time out increased the spotlight on Fry and co, though, meaning speculation over the centre-back’s future is unlikely to die down anytime soon.
Midfielder Marcus Tavernier has also reportedly caught the eye of some potential Premier League suitors, but Jones claims it’s the 6 foot 2 Fry who is most highly desired out of the talented duo.
