Among the celebrities taking to the dancefloor this year is actor and TV presenter Adam Thomas. The 35-year-old, from Manchester, is perhaps best known for portraying Adam Barton in ITV soap Emmerdale between 2009 and 2018.

It saw Adam star as Donte, a former bad boy pupil-turned-parent, alongside Katie Griffiths as Chlo Charles and their children Izzie, played by Adam's real-life niece Scarlett Thomas, and their son Tommy, played by Adam's son Teddy.

Adam shares two children with his wife Caroline Daly; nine-year-old Teddy and five-year-old Elsie-Rose Thomas.

Elsewhere on TV, he appeared in ITV’s I’m a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here - and his efforts went down so well that he was invited back to co-host the spin-off I’m a Celebrity: Extra Camp. He also teamed up with his brothers Ryan and Scott for six-part ITV travel
