When Matthjis de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui could make Man United debuts as medicals scheduled

Manchester United fans are waiting with bated breath for their latest arrivals to join the club.

Bayern Munich duo Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui are both currently on their way to Carrington to begin their medicals ahead of a combined £51.5m move to Old Trafford. Their signings have been facilitated thanks to an agreement being reached with West Ham for Aaron Wan-Bissaka's departure.

While De Ligt and Mazraoui conduct their medicals in Manchester, Wan-Bissaka is likely to be nearing the completion of his. In terms of the deal for De Ligt, this transfer has been a long time coming for Erik ten Hag.

The United boss wanted to make De Ligt one of his big summer purchases in the summer of 2022 during his first window at the club. However, a deal could not be completed and a move was postponed until the present day.

As for Mazraoui, the Moroccan was a player who flourished for Ajax during Ten Hag's tenure at the club. When the Dutchman left for United, the full-back decided to move to Bayern to make the next step in his career.

However, he has been frustrated by the lack of opportunities for minutes in Germany and is hopeful a reunion with Ten Hag will guarantee him more chances to impress. With the formalities the only thing standing in the way of both deals being officially announced, attention turns to when United fans will be able to see their new recruits in action for the first time.
