Netflix's 'chilling' true crime film about hospital serial killer fans call a 'must watch'

Netflix's The Good Nurse offers a chilling twist on the serial killer genre.

The film features acclaimed performers Eddie Redmayne and Jessica Chastain in the roles of nurses Charlie Cullen and Amy Loughren. Based on true events, the narrative delves into the shocking crimes of Cullen, who received 18 consecutive life sentences in 2006 for the murders of 40 patients.

For his role, Redmayne earned nominations from the Golden Globes, BAFTAs, and Screen Actors Guild, reports the Mirror.

Enthusiastic viewers have shared their reactions, with one fan noting, "Wow! Another declared it as "one of my favourite films", and others have commended it as "an excellent slow-burn movie" and an "absolutely thrilling and compelling story."

A further comment hailed the film, stating, "This is one of the best films on the subject of healthcare malfeasance!".

On Letterboxd, the film's procedural pacing was noted as a slight issue, but the "always reliable" Chastain and Redmayne's "bone-chilling turn" were praised for lifting the narrative. A fan commented: "His unsettling performance is one of his most
