When is the FIFA Club World Cup 2023 closing ceremony? Start time, who is performing, and how to watch

Manchester City take on Fluminense in the Club World Cup final in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

City beat Urawa Red Diamonds, while Fluminense got past Al Ahly to set up a showdown between the South American and European champions in the final. The Champions League winners have won the Club World Cup for the last ten editions, and 15 of the last 16 years.

After this season, the 2025 edition will be the next time the Club World Cup is played, with an expanded 32-team tournament featuring 12 European teams rather than just one. There will still be a yearly competition to replace this format of the Club World Cup, where winners of each continental Champions League (and the Copa Libertadores) will play off for a place in the final against the UEFA Champions League winner in a new Intercontinental Cup, to be played in July 2024.

Back to 2023, and City take on Fluminense tonight in Jeddah at 6pm UK time. Before that, and this is everything you need to know about the highly-anticipated final and the far more anticipated closing ceremony:

The closing ceremony will take place before the Club World Cup final between Manchester City and Fluminense at the King Abdullah Sports City stadium.

It will get underway at 8.35 local time (5.35 UK time), which is 25 minutes before kick-off.

The final will be broadcast on TNT Sports live in the UK, however unfortunately coverage only begins at 5.45pm, so fans will be disappointed to know they are unlikely to be able to watch the closing ceremony on the channel.

To watch the opening ceremony, the game will be broadcast live on FIFA.com. Viewers will need to register first for an account to watch.
