Man City vs Fluminense live FIFA Club World Cup score and goal updates as Rico Lewis starts

Manchester City are 90 minutes away from becoming world champions, with Copa Libertadores winners Fluminense standing in their way in today's FIFA Club World Cup final (6pm kick-off).

After winning their first Champions League in June, City qualified for the Club World Cup final by beating Urawa Red Diamonds on Tuesday. If they beat South American champions Fluminense at the King Abdullah Sport City, they will become world champions for the first time.

Pep Guardiola urged his side to control their fear and doubts on the eve of the final, dismissing the idea that they could play the final by suppressing their emotions. He has previously said that winning the Club World Cup will 'close the circle' of titles won at City, adding on Thursday that winning the final will go down in history - this being the last Club World Cup under the current format.

City are without Erling Haaland, Kevin De Bruyne and Jeremy Doku, after they were taken off the squad list for the competition. They are all recovering from injury, but are not fit enough to feature in the final. Rico Lewis starts, as does Rodri and Jack Grealish.

City XI: Ederson, Walker, Stones, Dias, Ake, Rodri, Lewis, Bernardo, Grealish, Foden, Alvarez.

The emotion in these games from the South American teams is incredible and unmatchable for City."

And then City
