When are Huddersfield Town’s 22/23 Championship fixtures released?

Huddersfield Town will begin the 2022/23 Championship season on the weekend of July 30th & 31st. 

Carlos Corberan’s side will learn who their first opponents are on Thursday 23rd June at 9am, with the full Championship fixture release in under 48 hours. That’s confirmed by the club’s website.

Town will also learn of their opponents in the Carabao Cup first round on Thursday, with the draw set to take place on Sky Sports News at 2:30pm. Huddersfield will be ball No17 in the draw.

Last season, Huddersfield started their campaign against Sheffield Wednesday in the League Cup, beating the Owls on penalties.

Their Championship season started against Derby County, where Naby Sarr’s goal secured a 1-1 draw with the Rams at Pride Park. Huddersfield’s first home fixture was against Fulham and saw Town lose 5-1 to the eventual division Champions.

Despite a ropey start to the Championship season, Huddersfield did finish third in the table and reached the play-off final, where they were beaten by Nottingham Forest 1-0.
