What Fulham hero said after win is damning for Manchester United

Fulham defender Calvin Bassey claims his side wanted to win the match more than Manchester United during their Premier League meeting at the weekend.

The Cottagers picked up their first away win at Old Trafford in more than 20 years as goals from Bassey and Alex Iwobi secured the three points on a memorable afternoon for the visitors. “Of course we had belief," he told reporters after the win. "If you saw the last games we played, even the one we played at home when we lost right at the end, it was just the details and making sure we got the details right. It worked out for us.

“I don’t think you can just come here and over-run them. You can see the quality of the players they have. They have got top players and a top manager and players that can have an effect off the bench, but we were just at it more, and I felt we wanted it more today. That showed in the way we played.”
