What Casemiro did after Bruno Fernandes goal and other Manchester United moments missed vs Burnley

Manchester United returned to winning ways in the Premier League on Saturday evening with a 1-0 victory over Burnley.

United started the game well albeit they had to deal with some pressure from the hosts at times. Halfway through the first 45, United thought they had taken the lead through the unlikely source of Jonny Evans but VAR ruled his header out due to Rasmus Hojlund obstructing the goalkeeper in an offside position. However, the Reds weren't to be denied.

Evans was once again involved as he picked out Bruno Fernandes with a brilliant ball over the top before the United captain volleyed home a stunning strike. United did well in the second half to kill the game and hold on for an important three points.

MEN Sport has taken a look at moments from the game you may have missed.

You could feel the sense of relief around United when Fernandes volleyed home spectacularly to give the Reds the advantage. After the captain had shared an embrace with his teammates, Casemiro grabbed the Portuguese midfielder and appeared to be quite emotional.

It perhaps summed up the feelings of all United fans after what has been a tough few weeks for the club.

Fernandes may have won the match for United with his goal but plenty of plaudits came the way of Evans at full time. Signed as a back-up, the Northern Ireland centre-back was thrown into the starting XI at Burnley due to injuries in the squad.

The 35-year-old settled in brilliantly and his assist was deserved after a great performance. What you may have missed is Saturday night's match was Evans' 200th Premier League appearance for United, his last start coming on March 4, 2015.
