'Already worried!' - Manchester United fans share same concern as Erik ten Hag forced into team change vs Brentford

Manchester United are back in Premier League action at home to Brentford this afternoon and supporters are evidently concerned after another defensive injury saw Harry Maguire and Jonny Evans partnered at centre-back.

Erik ten Hag's side have lost six of their opening 10 games across all competitions, representing their worst start to a season for 39 years. Tuesday's 3-2 Champions League defeat against Galatasaray was their second in Europe and leaves them bottom of Group A.

Sergio Reguilon failed a late fitness test yesterday and is not involved in the squad, while Luke Shaw and Lisandro Martinez are among several long-term absentees. Brentford are also facing a number of injury issues themselves, while Ivan Toney is in the middle of an eight month suspension for breaching the FA's betting rules.

Ten Hag has decided to make changes from the back-line that conceded three soft goals in midweek, with Diogo Dalot moved across to left-back and Victor Lindelof on the right. Raphael Varane is not in the matchday squad, with Evans at centre-back alongside Maguire and Andre Onana in goal.

Casemiro was named as United's Player of the Month for September but has been some way off his best form. The 31-year-old starts again in defensive midfield and will hope for some more defensive help with Sofyan Amrabat moved up alongside him.

Club captain Bruno Fernandes will operate further forward and hope to influence the game far more than in recent weeks. The Portuguese international still has a healthy two goals and two assists this season but will be the first to admit he hasn't been on top form.
