Diogo Dalot mocks former Manchester United teammate Cristiano Ronaldo

Diogo Dalot has poked fun at former Manchester United teammate Cristiano Ronaldo while the pair are away on international duty. The right-back joined up with his Portugal teammates this week as they prepare for matches against Slovakia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, while Bruno Fernandes is also away as part of a strong Reds contingent.

Between training sessions, the players have been unwinding and Dalot took the chance to catch up with his former teammate. But the 24-year-old couldn't resist taking the chance to make fun of the Al-Nassr striker.

With Ronaldo catching up on his phone, Dalot sneaked a picture onto his Instagram story, with the caption: "This new generation always on the phone."

Having achieved a dream of playing alongside Ronaldo at United, Dalot saw his international teammate leave in unfortunate circumstances last year. The striker took part in an interview with Piers Morgan in which he admitted he did not have any respect for manager Erik ten Hag.

The Dutchman axed Ronaldo last November and he eventually joined Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia. But speaking earlier this summer, Dalot admitted he would have been happy for the 38-year-old to stay.

“We know the quality that Cristiano brings, it was a mutual decision to take different paths and we just have to accept it," Dalot told O Jogo this summer. “We wanted Cristiano to be with us.

"We tried to make the most of the time it was in and it still gave us a lot. We have to live with the decision that was made, look forward and with the weapons we have continue to fight.”
