West Ham: Major update on 50-game gem's future at London Stadium

West Ham United academy graduate Ben Johnson will not leave the London Stadium during the summer despite attracting interest from Premier League rivals, according to transfer insider Dean Jones.

Johnson came through the east Londoners’ ranks, making more than 50 appearances for the under-23s, but he is now firmly in Hammers boss David Moyes’ first-team plans.

Question marks over Johnson’s long-term future came to the fore when, last month, The Athletic revealed the right-back had rejected West Ham’s offer of a new six-and-a-half year contract.

The report suggests Johnson is fully committed to the club and eager to become a regular starter for the Hammers, who will not look to return to the negotiating table until the early stages of next year.

Failing to reach an agreement over the six-and-a-half year proposal has not impacted on Johnson’s playing time, with the 22-year-old starting each of the east Londoners’ last seven fixtures.

Jones told GIVEMESPORT: “I don’t think there’s any chance
