Gerard Deulofeu is keen on a move to West Ham from Udinese amid transfer interest from the Hammers, according to a report.
The 28-year-old is a Barcelona academy graduate but made 127 Premier League experiences in three separate spells in the English top flight. Following a loan move Everton in 2013, he returned on a permanent deal in 2015.
From there, he played for AC Milan and back at Barcelona, before signing for Watford.
Deulofeu is now in Serie A with Udinese and has scored 11 goals in 41 games for the club.
And he has emerged as a fresh West Ham transfer target in recent weeks.
Speaking on the West Ham Way podcast, club insider ExWHUemployee insisted that the ex-Spain international wants the move to the London Stadium.
“He’s also supposedly good friends with [Pablo] Fornals,” the insider said. “He’s [Fornals] keen on him coming.
“He could also play up front as well so he could be another winger that Moyes converts into a striker.
“Apparently Deulofeu is keen on a move as well.”
Indeed, West Ham manager David Moyes has deployed Jarrod Bowen – who has made his name as a winger – as a striker at times this season.
