West Ham: 'Good news' for Moyes ahead of Lyon involving 'massively important' £31.5m star

West Ham United have received a major boost ahead of tonight’s Europa League quarter-final first leg against Lyon thanks to Jarrod Bowen being available for the clash at the London Stadium, according to Daily Star journalist Paul Brown.

The Hammers booked their place in the final eight of a European competition for the first time since 1981 thanks to overcoming Spanish side Sevilla last month.

Speaking ahead of tonight’s showdown with French giants Lyon, West Ham boss David Moyes has confirmed he is expecting Bowen to be able to feature thanks to not picking up any injuries following his return from a lay-off.

Bowen, 25, was forced off early in the second half of the Hammers’ Premier League encounter with Liverpool last month, but the east Londoners revealed the winger had ‘suffered no significant damage’ despite picking up a heel injury.

The £31.5million-rated ace made his return to the fray at the weekend, with him finding what proved to be the winner in a 2-1 victory over Everton.

That took Bowen’s tally of Premier League goals up to nine for the season, while he has also provided eight assists for his team-mates, underlining his importance in the final third of the pitch.

“His form has been so good that he was on the verge of an England call-up before he got his injury.

“While Michail Antonio wasn’t scoring, his goals were crucial to them. Antonio has managed to score
