West Ham: 'Fabulous' £15m star is 'on Moyes' list' at London Stadium

West Ham United manager David Moyes is ‘a big admirer’ of Burnley midfielder Josh Brownhill, according to journalist Dean Jones.

It could be a busy summer at the London Stadium as the capital club look to build on another successful season under the tutelage of their Scottish tactician.

A new striker is expected to be high up on Moyes’s wish list as he looks to add some cover and competition for Michail Antonio, but that’s far from the only area of the pitch that is in need of reinforcements.

Club captain Mark Noble is set to retire at the end of the season, loanee Alex Kral is expected to return to his parent club after struggling to settle and Declan Rice has been heavily linked with a move away.

Therefore, securing a new central midfielder or two will surely also be a priority for the West Ham hierarchy.

And according to 90min, the east London outfit are ‘ready to make a move’ for Brownhill, who was previously described as “fabulous” by Lee Hendrie, after monitoring his progress over the last 18 months.

The report states that Burnley would be reluctantly willing to do a deal for the 26-year-old if their £15 million valuation is met, although West Ham could face fierce competition for his signature.

It’s claimed that Aston Villa, Everton, Wolves, Leeds and newly promoted duo Fulham and Bournemouth are also interested in Brownhill despite the Hammers leading the charge.
