West Ham: Exciting Gianluca Scamacca prediction emerges at London Stadium

West Ham striker Gianluca Scamacca could “rapidly” climb the Premier League goalscoring charts after adapting to life in English football, according to journalist Paul Brown.

The 23-year-old has enjoyed a fine start to his Hammers career and Brown reckons the frontman could get even better.

Following an impressive season in Serie A with Sassuolo, the Italy international made the £30.5m switch to the London Stadium in a bid to provide competition and cover for Michail Antonio.

Scamacca had to be patient early on in the campaign and was forced to make a difference off the bench in West Ham's first three Premier League games.

But with Antonio struggling in the league and Scamacca using the Europa Conference League as a chance to gain some confidence, he quickly made himself a permanent figure in David Moyes' team.

As a result, he's started the last three top-flight games and dropped to the bench for the Hammers' doubleheader with Anderlecht.

And Brown reckons that now the striker has adapted nicely to English football, his rate of goals might keep increasing.

He told GIVEMESPORT: "It wouldn't surprise me if he starts rapidly climbing the goalscoring charts because it took him a couple of weeks to get used to the Premier League, but he looks up to speed now."

Six goals in 14 appearances is nothing to write home about, but when you consider that only eight of those have been from the off, Scamacca has made a fine start to his West Ham career.

In Europe, he netted in both Conference League qualifiers and has since popped up with another two in the group stages to put the Hammers on course to win the group and qualify for the last 16.
