Vernon Kay addresses family dispute with Tess Daly as he's blocked from doing one thing
Former I'm A Celeb star Vernon Kay has revealed that his family have stopped him from building one thing in their garden, before slamming their decision as 'unfair'.
Speaking on his regular morning slot on BBC Radio 2, the presenter shared his feelings on not being able to house chickens in his family's back garden: "It's funny, isn't it, when your kids ask 'can we have a hamster, can we a goldfish, can we have a gerbil?', you're like, 'yeah, no problem as long as you look after it, you'll be fine'."
Further explaining his exasperation at his two daughters Phoebe and Amber, and Strictly host wife, Tess Daly, he added: "(Meanwhile, if) I want a chicken, not a chance, it's not fair - they've got ponies and all sorts. But, I want a chicken, and I can't have a chicken. There's something romantic about going down to the garden and pulling the eggs out and saying 'look what we've got'."
Meanwhile, earlier in the show, Vernon had shared his deep-desire to put together his own 'chickenarium', that was immediately put on hold after his family's response: "I've been desperate for a chickenarium, but they won't let me have one.
"Because you've got to dig down, because where we live there's loads of foxes, so you've got to protect the chickens in the chickenarium, so that the foxes don't get involved in the chickenarium and have an early chickenarium dinner."
He added: "So you've got to dig a pit and then put the chicken wire underneath, so that the foxes can't scrape under and get into the chickenarium that way."
Saying that he was going to pitch the idea again that evening after he had returned from work, he said: "Right, when I go home tonight, I'm going to tell the gang that we're having a chickenarium. And they'll go, 'what's
