Van de Beek in direct Celtic transfer address as Manchester United star opens up on future 'possibilities'

Donny van de Beek isn't ruling anything out this summer amid links with Celtic and a host of other clubs.

The Manchester United playmaker was claimed by 90min to be of interest to Brendan Rodgers although it does seem somewhat fanciful at this stage given the finances that would be involved. A return to Ajax or another Premier League loan are rated more likely but Van de Beek says anything could happen.

The Dutch midfield maestro is getting himself back up to speed with United for now and scored a stunning decisive volley against Lyon at Murrayfield to kick off their pre-season under Erik ten Hag. And he was asked after the game about rumoured interest from Parkhead. He said: "I've been linked with so many clubs, you know how it is. Most of the time things are not true. Let's see about my future. I don't know, I'm not focussing on that. Everything is open. I'm really proud to wear this shirt and I realise that every day. I will push and then let's see what happens.

"A move away from the club could be a possibility. Let's see. I've just come back from an injury and I think I have other things to focus on."
