Updates - serious accident on A58 closes two roads in Bolton

Two roads have been closed to the west of Bolton following a serious road traffic collision, Transport for Greater Manchester has announced.

The Inrix traffic and travel database stated that the A58 Victoria Road in Bolton had been closed in both directions, adding that Chorley New Road had also been shut at the crossroads while emergency vehicles attended the scene. Inrix added that at the moment traffic was coping well in the area.

In a tweet posted at 5:53am, Transport for Greater Manchester said that the A58 Victoria Road in both directions had been closed due to a road traffic collision; the closures were affecting Glengarth Drive and Northwold Drive, with Chorley New Road also closed.
